I am currently on the Adjunct Faculty of Richland College, teaching GED classes, and working with juvenile offenders (17-21) teaching math and blueprint reading, trying to cut the recidivism rate. On Sundays, I volunteer at a Catholic Church teaching GED/Survival Skills to newly arrived Sudanese U.N. refugees. I married a career military man from New Jersey. In 19 years we were stationed in California twice, Illinois, New York, New Mexico, Texas and Alaska. At the end of his career he retired from the Air Force, the children and the wife at the same time. After the divorce I returned to Dallas and I have been here for about 15 years now. Our oldest daughter graduated from Cajon High School in San Bernardino California. After working various jobs she went to work for Paramoun Studios. I feel very fortunate that she is now in Texas and is working for the Susan B Kohmen foundation. Our youngest daughter graduated from Bryan Adams High School and is working for UPS as an account exec. I was thoroughly amazed when I learned that Woodrow no long played football against Bryan Adams. This daughter has a son 10 years old and a daughter 5 years old. She married her high school sweetheart. I started working for Gramercy Insurance as a file clerk in 2001, after 5 years I was fired. I went on to work various jobs and received invaluable experience in the clerical world. After the change of ownership I was rehired by Gramercy as an Underwriting Assistant. Two years later I'm now an Underwriter. We write policies for large commercial vehicles and it's quite an interesting world. An interesting note: When I started working for Gramercy in 2001, I discovered that I was working with 2 other Woodrow alumni. The first graduated in 1947, the second in 1957, and I graduated in 1967. What did we have in common? We all had Zada Wells as our business teacher and we all had the most wonderful memories of this marvelous teacher.

I am teaching second grade. This is my nineteenth year in the same school. I hope to retire in 2 years and move to Gatesville , Texas where my children live. My father turned 86 on Christmas Eve. He lives in the Fowler Homes Independent Living Center and loves it. My mom died 15 years ago of cancer. My sons do Team Roping in the PRCA and other Rodeo circuits in Texas .

I work at the hotel at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. I love my job in that I can help people in different ways while their loved ones are patients. I am blessed to have 2 wonderful daughters who are both college graduates. My oldest daughter and her husband have a 15 yr old son and both work at UT Dallas. My youngest daughter works at Clear Channel Communications and hasn\'t yet found her 'Mr Right'!! My beloved husband passed away 8 years ago. Our family goes to church together every Sunday and feel we are truly blessed.
