After traveling for several years, we bought a home in Coweta, Ok. It is near Tulsa. We have enjoyed seeing all the states except for Alaska and North Dakota. I have forgotten how busy you are moving into a new house. I would like to return to work in the near future.

Greetings from tropical Texas! (They say that on the postcards from down here.) John and I met at Baylor and married in 1971. We settled near his home in the Rio Grande Valley in 1974. I was an “at home” mom and involved in community activities in McAllen for many years. In 1993, I decided to return to school (so scary after all those years!) to earn a master’s degree. I served in several capacities at UT-Pan American until retiring in February 2005 as the founding director of High School to University Services, a department focused on promoting advanced academics in public schools in South Texas . Now I’m enjoying retirement while listening to my iPod! (B.A., Baylor, Political Science and Speech; M.A., UT-Pan American, Speech Communication)

Last April (2007), I bought a small CPA practice in East Texas - Gun Barrel City at Cedar Creek Lake. I thought it would be less work that corporate America, but I was misguided. However, although I am working really hard, I am also enjoying it even more.
