I still own Casey's Lawn Equipment, but had a mid-life crisis and went and got my real estate salespersons license. I turned 60 so I guess I needed a new challenge. I am working with an old friend of mine. He does a lot of ranches in west Texas, in and around Coleman county. Tom is editor of a game magazine and is also an outfitter. Looking forward to retiring, hopefully around 80.

My activities are limited currently, due to medical stuff that will be done soon. I walk a dog at white rock for a couple of hours every day. This dog is a standard poodle and belongs to my wife, he is great but...not necessary. I wonder, who will walk him when i get well enough to travel? I teach 3rd grade and, as every other teacher in Texas, I am counting the days until retirement. Until then, I am trying to keep the alligators at bay. I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor and I try my hardest to appreciate every day to the fullest. Our granddaughter, Hattie lives in San Antonio and we are truly blessed to have her and her parents so close . No big trips around the world planned, no climbing the Himalayas, no white water rafting, but life is good.

I live on a beautiful Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound, north of Seattle. I am founder and artistic director of a non-profit children's theater organization, Whidbey Children's Theater. I write, teach, direct, act and produce live theater for youth in my community. I live in a turn-of-the-century farmhouse with my husband of 21 years, and our 18 year old son.
