am in my first year of semi-retirement with Abilene ISD. I officially retired in May 2008 but have been rehired to work half time teaching my special needs handbell choir made up of middle and high school students with disabilities. My husband, Bill, and I are enjoying the home we built on 11 acres just south of the Abilene city limits. It feels like living in the country, but we're only 10 minutes from the mall! Truly the best of both worlds.

I am a retail consultant, and work part time. My daughter and grand-children live in Denver , and we go there as often as possible. The sudden death of my mother put a whole new perspective on my life and definitely strengthened my outlook on the importance of family. I made the decision to retire thus allowing myself to spend more time with my daughters in Lubbock and my family in Dallas . I have become much more involved in the activities of my nieces and since they attend Woodrow, I get the added bonus of being a Wildcat again. I`ve been to football games, volleyball games, mock trial, watched the drill team and cheerleaders, and I'll be going to the musical in April. Never a dull moment !!!!
